Micropony

Micropony is divided in two sections:

• Input section: sine, saw, square oscillators or audio file
• Processing section containing 3 separate “spectral gate” modules

The output of each audio generator is routed to the input of a spectral gate module.
The spectral gate divides the spectrum in 3 parts and for each part it provides independent gain controls. The central part of the spectrum passes through a threshold which divides the audio content in two parts, below and above the threshold. Two additional gain controls are applied to these two parts of the signal. The audio of the three frequency bands is sent to the output after being processed by a pan spreader.
